    Field in report blackened out (2002)

    I have a report that is based upon a query. When I run the report in Access 2000, the last field ie. Coursename I can see but the background is black and the text is white, even though I have not formatted it this way. Some of our users are on Access 2002, they can not see the last field at all, as the text is black and the background is also black. I am wondering if it is to do with the sql that sits behind the query. The sql looks like this

    SELECT Staff.Home, [surname] & ", " & [knowas] AS FullName, [Courses-Regard].Date, [Courses-Regard].Presenter, [Courses-Regard course names].Course
    FROM ((Staff INNER JOIN [HQ Course attendance] ON Staff.StaffID = [HQ Course attendance].StaffID) INNER JOIN [Courses-Regard] ON [HQ Course attendance].CourseID = [Courses-Regard].CourseID) INNER JOIN [Courses-Regard course names] ON [Courses-Regard].CNameID = [Courses-Regard course names].CNameID
    WHERE (((Staff.Home) Like [name of home] & "*") AND (([Courses-Regard].Date) Between [first date to include] And [last date to include]) AND (([Courses-Regard].Presenter) Like [name of presenter] & "*"))
    ORDER BY [Courses-Regard].Presenter, Staff.Surname, Staff.FirstName;

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    The SQL won't be responsible for this.

    Have you checked the background and foreground colours of the problem control?

    I have checked the colours and they are fine. I think that is something to with the query being based on a group by query. I have another one similar. When I look at the report it tries to display more than the max value, which is the one that I want. When I reduce the lines, so that it only displays the max value, I get this blackened out problem.

    Could you post a stripped down copy of your database? See <post#=401925>post 401925</post#> for instructions.

    The control named Course is a list box. If you change it to a text box (you can do this from the right-click menu), it should be OK.

    Thank you so much. I thought it was far more complicated than that!!
