    COUNT function in a report (2003)

    Specific field in a report, want to count the number of records where the field = "pass"
    Will use result of count in a calculation

    You could use

    =Abs(Sum([FieldName]="pass"))

    The result of [FieldName]="pass" is either True = -1 or False = 0, so the sum counts -1 for each time the field equals "pass". The Abs function converts from negative to positive.

    That does it. Thank you.
    I also want to set a query criteria to user input a date (Monday of a given week) and get detail for Mon - Sun of that week , (input date plus 6 days) without having to input a end date like a BETWEEN.

    You can use

    Between [Enter Monday] And DateAdd("d",6,[Enter Monday])

    Access will prompt only once. You must take care that the spelling of the parameter is the same in both cases.
