    Processor Speed for Windows XP (XP SP2)

    A friend has an older Dell Latitude laptop with a 366 MHz processor and 384 MB RAM memory. He wants to know if he can put Windows XP on this system?

    According to Windows XP Home Edition System Requirements and Windows XP Professional System Requirements, it is sufficient, but not by a large margin. Don't expect screaming performance.

    Thanks for the link. I think the 384 MB of RAM memory will make the system tolerable.

    The processor barely meets the MS stated requirement but if it were me, I would recommend against it.
