    format fieldcodes with data number values (Word 2002 /XP SP3)

    Hello

    I have a Word document mailmerge. and the data is in an excel spreadsheet.

    One of the fields is a $ value eg $577.74. The data is formatted correctly in excel. ie with 2 decimal points.

    When I mailmerge, the data results appears with many decimal points eg 577.74000000000001.

    In Word do I have to specify the format of this data?

    here is my fieldcode:

    {IF {MERGEFIELD "TotalDisbursements"} < 18.00 "0.00" "{ MERGEFIELD "TotalDisbursements"}" }

    many thanks diana

    You can use this for the second occurrence of the merge field:

    "{ MERGEFIELD "TotalDisbursements" # "$0.00"}"
