    column jumping (Word 2003)

We have a couple of students who were using Word today for a column-based setup. Whenever they would hit [enter], the cursor would jump to the top of the next column rather than creating a new paragraph in the current column. When I logged in on those computers, it worked fine. What could be causing the problem.

    Re: column jumping (Word 2003)

Does the behavior persist after quitti g and restarting Word, or after restarting the PC? If so, try Phil Rabichow's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000),197827>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000)<!/post> while logged in as one of the problem users.
