    weather reporting software

a friend would like weather reporting software similar to weatherbug but without all the baggage. Something to show the temp on the system tray and to alert if there is bad weather coming. thanks.

    Re: weather reporting software

Seems likely that major weather web sites would be eager to offer stuff like this. However, I haven't tried any of them...

Check out Weather Pulse at Weather Software and XP Windows programs - Tropic Designs : Home of Weather Pulse software. It is <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> and does not have all the 'stuff' that weatherbug has.

    Re: weather reporting software

I've bought WetSock a few years back and can highly recommend it for any major city around the globe. It also provides accurate weather forecasts. It's just $12.00 to buy!

    Re: weather reporting software

I'll second Joe's recommendation for WeatherPulse. I've been using it for several years, with wonderful results. Whenever I travel, I add that new location into its definitions and it is a simple click on a dropdown list to check either the current weather or the forecast for up to ten days ahead for my destination.
