    Re: Default Folders (Office/FrontPage 2000)

I know where this is stored in the registry for Windows 2000, but I don't know if you can just change it and have it take effect across Office.

    MsgBox System.PrivateProfileString("", _
    "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentV ersionExplorerUser Shell Folders", _
    "Personal")

Should return the current "personal" folder. (VBA project you run that in must be in Word or have access to the Word object model.)

Disclaimer: muck with your registry at your own risk.

With any luck at all, replacing that string with the desired path will work. If not, of course, you can always change it back. However, much of the path appears in the editor as a parameter (something like %UserProfile%personal) that you should note for future reference.
