    VLOOKUP (XP / 2003)

    Attached is a small worksheet . tab 1 is where I want to do vlookups on col a cells. tab 2 is where I have the table. however, it isn't working . I tried trim fomula but it still doesn't work.

    Any guesses why?

    <P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by rory on 23-Mar-06 18:19. )</P>The cells in which you have entered the VLookup formulae are formatted as text so are not evaluating. Format the cells as General and then select them all and do an Edit-Replace and enter = in both the find and replace boxes. Choose Replace All. This should convert them all back to formulae.

    Edit: Actually, just re-enter the formula in the top cell once you have formatted it as General, and then fill down as needed, since currently all the formulae are looking up A2.
