Adding music to Windows Slide Show (Windows XP SP2)

I am running Windows XP SP2 and want to add some music to some slides I have. I know I can do it with Powerpoint but it doesn't look and feel very good (plus it is a lot of work to put some 100 slides into each Powerpoint slide). Is there a way to do this with XP? Is there a 3rd party program that will allow me to do this easily. The entire slide show takes about 9-10 minutes and i want to add some music to it.

    Thanks.

I've been using LPJ Slideshow for some time and like it a lot: LPJ Slideshow

I use Pinnacle, Its a little on the expensive side and a real resource hog, but it is really nice. You can also use Microsoft Movie Maker, and that is free from Microsoft :http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...oviemaker2.mspx
    Thanks John

    Bob,
Not sure what you are looking for price wise (I know, I know FREE is better), but I've been hypnotized by MemoriesOnTv especially since they just came out with their Version 3.0. Often you'ze gets what you'ze pays for <grin>.. Version 3.0 comes with some neat audio tools as well as video...

    Bob, the other one.
