function or integrate code (2000 sr 1)

.... i have the first macro read fro a gal and insert into shett the value.
After i start the second macro to insert value into mdb.
Is possible inested to out into sheet the value insert directly into mdb? For me not is important to insert the value into sheet...
    I have think:
Is possible to trasform the macro UTENTI_MDB in a function and call tath during the import from GAL?

I have used in mine old code:

    RS.Close
RS.Open "SELECT Count(MATRICOLA) As Cnt FROM USER_NAME", CN, adOpenKeyset, adLockOptimistic, adCmdText

    Sheets("UTENTI").Range("D1") = RS!cnt
