Top Most Stupid Thing Someone Just Did (Outlook 2002)

One of the agents in my office was doing some housekeeping in her Outlook 2002 email account. She ... drumroll please ... <img src=/S/music.gif border=0 alt=music width=97 height=29> ... deleted her contacts folder, and to boot she then emptied her deleted items folder. Oh, did I say she didn't have autoarchive setup?

Anyway, is there a way to recover those deleted contacts. There is no backup file.

Hopefully you backed up the PST immediately to avoid any routine background compression crushing any hope of recovery.

There are some utilities on the web to repair PST files, but I'm not sure whether they include "undelete" features.

Well, it's not anything I did or did not do. I'm just trying to help somebody out. I'll do a google search and see what I come up with.
