Access 'right' function (any with XP Pro)

I have Office 2000 running on Win2000 and "right" calculations work (in a query: =right(previous column, 3) for example) ; if I go to XP Pro with Office 2000 they don't.

Can anyone verify a version of Office on XP Pro where these actually work, or is there a way to make Office 2000 work on XP Pro?

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

This probably means that there is a missing reference.
    - Activate the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11)
    - Select Tools | References...
    - If there are references that start with MISSING, note which ones they are.
    - Then clear their check boxes and click OK.
    - See if the Right function works now.
