Email time stamp out (2003 SP2)

I have just done a clean install on my computer and now Outlook seems to have lost connection with the correct time. The date stamp on emails seems to be about 4 hours ahead of the computers time.
    Regards,
    Peter

Outlook should follow the clock/time zone settings for Windows. The "Sent" time on your sent messages should match your clock, and if you send yourself a message and use View>Options..., the time in the Internet Headers (there are no Internet headers for messages sent inside an Exchange environment) should reflect your time zone offset.

Yep, should being the operative word here.
Attached is a shot of control panel clock applet (a couple of minutres after I sent the email) overlaying the time stamp in the Outlook inbox for the email I sent myself. As you see there is about a 5 hour (or I supose a 19 hour) difference. Wierd eh? The Sent items time in Outlook is correct.
    Any ideas anyone?

    Peter

Yep, Australia is selected. Side note - used to be able to select which date zone in Australia I'm in - this option is no longer available, whch seems strange.

The time zone is set in the Time Zone tab of the Date and Time control panel. The easiest way to open this control panel is to double click the time indication in the Notification Area (System Tray) in the Task Bar.
There should be time zones for Perth (+8:00), Adelaide / Darwin (+9:30), Brisbane / Canberra, Melbourne, Sidney / Hobart (+10:00)

In OL2k2, there was a Time Zone option under Calendar Settings in Options. (I cannot remember if this affects email) Is this still there in 2k3 and is it set correctly if so?

Have you also checked Outlook's time zone setting? (Tools | Options..., Preferences tab, Calendar Options..., Time Zone...)

Jefferson suggested looking at the Internet Headers. Could you do the following:
    - Open the e-mail message.
    - Select View | Options...
    - Mark the entire text of the Internet Headers and copy it into a reply.
    - Remove or alter your e-mail address and other sensitive information, but leave the rest.

Thanks Hans. You're here too. How far does your knowledge extend?
This fixed it. The clean install I just went through should have included this but it never came up. As the time on my clock was correct I thought everything else was fine too. inever even looked at the time zone.
    Once again, thanks again.
    Regards,
    Peter
