    Footer question (Word 2000 sp3)

I have a document that has a section break for each page. The odd numbered pages have no header or footer while the even numbered pages have a header and footer. (The document is always printed double sided) All the footers have the same information, but the information can vary between documents. I want the user to enter footer information via a userform when a new document is created from the template and have a macro place the information in each of the footers. I know how to create the userform.

The footer has to have several bits of text added and looks something like this

    contact officer:
    officers name
    position
    telephone number

    Approved by:
    approving officer name

What is the best way to set up the footers in the template to achieve this?

    Thanks

Re: Footer question (Word 2000 sp3)

See <post:=259,183>post 259,183</post:> for a demo - it employs a userform to set document variables, and the page header contains DOCVARIABLE fields that display the value of these variables.

Note: why do you have a section break after each page? You can specify that one section has different headers/footers for odd and even pages, and leave the odd page header/footer blank. You do this in the Layout tab of File | Page Setup.
