    IP addresses Windows 2000 server

IS there a program which tells you which IP addresses are assigned to the PC's?

    Many thanks,

    PING is useful.

Either PING each PC by name, or run through the (possible) IP addresses with something like (Command Line):
    for /l %a in (1,1,30) do ping -n 1 192.168.0.%a

You can make this a good deal more sophisticated like in a real BATch file! They have to be powered on, of course...

PS What do you actually want to achieve? DHCP-assigned IP addresses are somewhat transient...
    <font face="Script MT Bold"><font color=blue><big><big>John</big></big></font color=blue></font face=script>

    Ita, esto, quidcumque...

I wanted to know which IP addresses have been used, i do know how to check using ping or other option is to go to every single PC and check LAN Static IP address, I though there may be a program which does this for you within seconds, when the PC's are on.

    Cheers

If the Win2k server is responsible for DHCP you should have a DHCP manager tool which will show you that information.

I don't have a W2K server but I would think that what you're suggesting, Joe, is much like the LAN router I have which has a DHCP "clients" tab that will tell you all the IP addresses that it has currently in use. The router can be accessed from any machine on the LAN provided you have the password and username.
