    Mapping Customers (Office XP)

I am seeking to take the address data of approximately 200 customers and plot them on the State maps of RI and MA. Once plotted, points outside major dense areas should be able to be identified by just moving the mouse to that point. Once on that point, the field data will appear. I have name, address, town, state, and zip in the spread sheet as fields. Any suggestions as to how this can be done in Excel or outside software will be appreciated.

Before Office XP, Excel used to include a mapping feature. Unfortunately, this has been removed from Excel 2002 and later. It is now available as a separate product: Microsoft Mappoint 2004. See also Create a map with MapPoint and Excel.

See this Google search for other options.
