    Truant Favicons (MSIE 5.5)

I'm wondering why these neat and sometime helpful "favicon.ico" images seem to disappear after a few days or weeks from the browser's destination window and from the Favorites links? I have a personal interest in this because my own favicon for my website does the same thing?

Is this a browser problem or something else? Is there a way to make them display permanently in the destination window and also in the Favorites links?

They go away when you clean up the internet temp files. You can move them to a folder that you want to keep, and change the link of the icon and favorite. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
