Ok, what's a favicon? I regularly delete all my temp internet files and apparently have been deleting favicons without know it. Not sure I care. But, now I'm curious.
Hi Mel
Some sites identify themselves with a unique icon, which you can get to appear in your Favorites list instead of the IE file. You need FavOrg 1.2, which is no longer on the PCMag page, and the version at the link given by Eileen a few posts ago seems to be 1.1. All is not lost, however. Pop over to Mercury Freeware and find it on Downloads page6, #75.

Favicons are lost when you delete your Temporary Internet Files. There is a downloadable, free program that will preserve them called FavOrg v1.2. You can find it at: http://www.webattack.com/download/dlfavorg.shtml. NOTE: It says it's 1.1 at the download site but it IS actually 1.2.
