Weird Font Issue (Excel 2002 SP2)

I have a weird font issue happening with a file I've received from someone else. Tho it appears to be formatted in Arial 10pt, what I'm really getting is some type of system font. Readble - but nasty looking.
Other files are just fine. Any suggestions?

Have you set the zoom percentage to 80% or less? By default, Excel replaces all fonts with a system font if the displayed font size (the actual font size multiplied by the zoom percentage) is less than 8 points. You can change a registry setting if you want to avoid this: see XL2002: Euro Currency Character Is Not Displayed Correctly.

Everything is set back to normal size and it seems the problem is tied to the file, because if I copy & paste data out of the file - it prints perfectly nicely. So of course, that is the solution. It just bugs me and I want to know why the problem...

If you wish, you can post (a stripped down copy of) the workbook. Take care to remove any sensitive information.

    Here we go.
The previews all look normal - its the print job itself that's ugly.

Hmmm - the workbook you attached prints fine, both at 100% and at 35% (when Page Setup is set to fit to 1 x 3 pages).
At what print size did you get an ugly result?

    At normal and smaller.

Oh - the heck with it. I'll just copy and paste into a new workbook.

OK. I can't discover anything out of the ordinary in the workbook. I've tried a few other print percentages, and the print is fine each time. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
