Apologies if this is not the right forum to post this but does anyone have a feel for the going rate in the US for a Microsoft Word VBA programmer? Someone with experience creating custom templates and addins. I'm sure it varies all over the country but if anyone has any personal knowledge of either hiring or being hired and can give a ballpark hourly rate, I'd be interested. I do some Word VBA work on the side for a company and get $75/hr in Philadelphia area. I also may need to hire a per diem person to do similar work and would be interested to know what is typical.

You might check some of the freelance sites such as http://www.elance.com/, http://www.getafreelancer.com/, or http://www.rentacoder.com/. Some of the projects here are very odd, and I don't know whether the payment mechanisms are trustworthy, but if you post a respectable description you should be able to collect some bids.
