Putting a Calendar in Access (2003)

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to put a calendar into access, or whether there is a piece of software which will do this.

    Thanks

Access comes with a Calendar control. Open a form in design view, and click the More Controls button on the Toolbox (it's usually the last button). Calendar Control n.0 (n is a version number) should be in the scrollable list that appears.

Thanks - have just found that, brings up a calendar perfectly.

Is there any way of putting appointments and reccuring events into this calendar? as this is what we are actually looking for.

    Thanks

No, the calendar control is only for selecting a date. You'll find an example of an appointment calendar form in Access attached to <post:=285,719>post 285,719</post:>. I doesn't support recurring appointments, though. Why don't you use Outlook if you want that? Outlook 2003 has group schedules and other goodies.

we use outlook at the moment for that but are looking to integrate our calendar into our client database so that there is only one program. We are also having problems with outlook at the moment so thats why were trying to do this now.

I'll go and have a look at the post you reccommended now - thanks!

You might also want to look at the ActiveX calendar controls that are available - we've had good results using controls from http://www.dbi-tech.com/.
