    Outlook Contacts (Access 2000)

Using the import/link table facility I can create a link to my Outlook Contacts.

Once the link is created and I open the table, I get an error msg "Object is invalid for operation"
The table then opens and numerous fields show #Error whilst other fields show the correct contents.

I need to link to the Contacts so I can use the information in an Access form.:- [DisplayName] [EmailAddress] with the SendObject function.

Trying a query filtering [E-mail type]="SMTP" to only give me correct mail addresses doesn't work.

    Any idea's ?

My guess would be that your contacts list is somehow corrupt. Try to repair your .pst file using the Scanpst.exe utility. It can be found in

    C:Program FilesCommon FilesSystemMapi2057

or a subfolder (2057 is the language code for UK English; if you happen to have a US English version, use 1033 instead of 2057).

    Hans

I found the file but it didn't solve the problem, never mind, I'll take a different approach.
The form would have to work on many pc's so I'll certainly have problems elsewhere.

    Thanks for the help.
