In Form viewing record after updated (access 2000) (Acess 2000 )

I am new to Access. I have a startup form which opens a criteria form that displays a record from the query. After a record is updated or a new record added, starting new from the startup form the record will not display. I do not know why.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Can you tell us a bit more about your database? For example: what kind of criteria does the startup form use?

History: This is a small social club about 1200 members. The database is to track our membership and used for mailing newsletters. There is not a key on this database.
Startup form: There is no record source and the form contains an option group with six choices.
Selection form: The record source is a query with an unbound combo box and an unbound list box that the combo box feeds.
From here depending on the selection another form is opened.
I have not taken control of the recordset in code. In fact I have a combination of Access handling and code for the events.
    Hope this answers your questions.
    Thanks Mary

Thank you for your reply, but I still have problems visualizing what is happening. Could you post the relevant code, or post a stripped down copy of your database? See <post#=401925>post 401925</post#> for instructions.

OK I have created a file with 5 or 6 shortened records and the three forms. Hope this helps you.

The query that acts as row source for cboAlpha is missing...

One thing I noted, though: the ListRows property of cboAlpha has been set to 1, so the dropdown list will only show one item at a time. I would set it to 8 or so.

The row source for frmAlpha is the table not a query. Should it be a query?
Also I have attached the zip file again as the first file was missing a module that hold the frmSelect variable so it will be available across all the forms.
Thanks for your time and patience.

The combo box cboAlpha on the form frmAlpha has CompleteActMbrs as Row Source. There is neither a table nor a query named CompleteActMbrs in the database.
