Insertion of VB6 TextBox information into Outlook

Is it possible to enter information from a VB6 textbox into an appointment field in Microsoft Outlook? If so, how? I have VB6 and Microsoft Outlook XP.

Also, is VB 2005 the successor to VB6 whereas VB.Net was not?

    As always, thank you!

You can automate Microsoft Outlook using Visual Basic or a variety of other languages. I think there are a number of examples in the Lounge for messages and tasks; not sure about appointments.

    I believe VB 2005 = VB.Net 2

As far as I know, Microsoft has no plans to update VB6.
