    Windows Reactivation? (XP (SP2))

    Hi,

When I boot-up my computer I get the following message:

    Windows Product Activation
Since Windows was first activated on this computer, the hardware on the computer has changed significantly. Due to these changes, Windows must be reactivated within 3 days.
Do you want to reactivate Windows now?

Is it safe for me to do this?

If you wish to continue using Windows on that computer, you have no choice. I take it you made some hardware changes to your computer a few weeks ago?

    Pete,
Go ahead and reactivate it. It's safe and harmless. On line only takes a few seconds.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!

    Thank You...

Thanks for your help. This was the first time I've been asked to reactivate and yes I had made some hardware changes recently. Cheers.
