    Outlook backup (2003)

I downloaded pfbackup.exe (that's personal folders backup). The instructions for using it to back up Outlook files are,in Outlook, go to Backup in the File menu. I don't have any Backup in the file menu. How to I use this backup utility?

I used this add-in with Outlook 2000 or 2002 (I can't remember). After you run the EXE, restart Outlook and the Backup... item should appear on the file menu. It lets you select the destination for the copy of your PST file. If the item does not appear, perhaps the add-in has been disabled. Check on the Help>About dialog for a button that lets you see disabled add-ins. If it isn't listed, perhaps it didn't intall correctly. Check your COM Add-ins list under Tools>Options..., Other tab, Advanced button, then COM Add-ins button. Is it listed there? If it isn't checked, check it and see whether that helps.

Thanks, you're right, of course. I hadn't restarted my computer before looking for backup. It's there.
