    What do "check out" and "check in" do?

    Do you have a SharePoint server or other Document Management System? In Word, those terms would most often be used in that context.

    Actually, is it a custom toolbar generated by a particular template? Perhaps the name or other info about the template would provide a clue.

    No one in our Technology department knows what a SharePoint server is - see my dilema?

    Anyway , I'm only asking because one of my Word students saw it when she went to Tools, Customize, Commands and asked me what those commands did.

    It's not a big deal - she's probably already forgotten she asked.

    I don't see them under "All Commands"; maybe she saw some macros?

    I can see them on all the computers in my classroom, as well as my computer at my desk. See attached.

    I get it now - since we don't have any ability to "share" I had not clue what this was. Now I know and will tell my student she probably will never have to worry about it either.
