Rebuild command (All)

Interesting article at InformationWeek | XP Management | Langa Letter: XP's Little-Known 'Rebuild' Command | April 16, 2006. If you've ever encountered "Missing or corrupt HAL.DLL," "Invalid Boot.Ini," or "Windows could not start..." the Rebuild command can give you something relatively quick to try as a fix. There are also several good support links on the last page.

Hi Joe,
Just finished reading that article before switching to the Lounge. It is indeed an excellent article and I've saved it for future reference.

Whoa, I mentioned this before Fred Langa! , here at the Lounge, though I admit very briefly and in a slightly other topic. I edited a typo today in my post from April 10. The bootcfg switches can be a great tool when a machine does not start.

Seriously, thanks for a great link Joe. In addition, as you say, there are good links on the last page.
