    Generally speaking, toolbar changes will be saved to your Normal.dot template unless you direct them specifically to the document's attached template or to the document itself.

    The Normal.dot template should be saved when you exit Word. You can set Word to prompt you before saving. To "force save" Normal.dot, you can do either of the following:

    (1) Hold the Shift key and click the File menu and choose Save All. This will save all open documents and Normal.dot.
    (2) Open the VB Editor (Alt+F11), open the ThisDocument module under the Normal.dot template and choose File>Save Normal.dot

    Hope this helps. And sorry for the delay in responding. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

    (Note: if you receive this by email and wish to return to the Lounge, you can temporarily add the following lines to your hosts file BEFORE launching your browser. On Windows XP, that's:

    Hosts file:

    C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32DRIVERSETChosts {hosts does not have an extension; create if it doesn't exist}

    New lines:

    And the customizations are likely not saved because you have installed the PDFMaker 7 add-in from Adobe. At least that's very often responsible for this annoyance.
