An Extra Page is Printed (Outlook 2000 SR-1)

Is there a feature that allows you to turn on/off the ability to print a blank page between emails and other Outlook documents? There are only a few people in our network that are having this problem, which leads me to believe that somehow a feature got activated that prints an extra page between documents. I just can't seem to find the feature. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Check your print setup. Viewing your Inbox:

File | Page Setup | Define Print Styles

You may find that, for example, if it is set to A4 and you are printing on Letter size, the difference in length is forced onto a new (blank) page.

That doesn't appear to be the problem. It's set for letter size. I checked the settings against one of the computers in the network that isn't having the problem, and their print style settings are exactly the same. I also tried resetting the print styles, which again didn't work. I'd appreciate any more ideas, though. Thanks!

Sorry to suggest the obvious, but the printer isn't set up to print a separator page, is it?

No, it's not. Every program other than Outlook prints correctly. Also, there are only about half of the people in the network that are having this problem (everyone prints to the same few printers).

does it happen on every message or only on ones over (or under) a certain length?

Does the 'extra' page show up in Print Preview?
(Presumably the same printers in your IE problem: HTML Messages won't print pictures with IE 5.5 ?)

First of all, yes it's the same printers as in my other posting. Interesting discovery--When I was testing if the extra page showed up in Print Preview, I discovered that only HTML messages (the ones that you cannot use Print Preview for) are printing the extra page. Any messages in RTF or Plain Text only print on one page. I hope that helps.

I thought I'd try this out myself and find I have exactly the same symptoms as you.
Now, what I have found is:
    File | Print | Options
if I select "Print all linked documents" I get an extra blank page!
(This may be just my print driver - HP4 on W2K)

BTW, experiment at your peril. For some unknow reason I tried printing a search result page in Google with that print option on and am now personally responsible for another couple of acres of forestry being felled . . . <img src=/S/crazy.gif border=0 alt=crazy width=15 height=15>

Did you realize that if you do not have the HTML message open, but simply selected, from the main Outlook menu, you can get a print preview - but it only shows the url links as text, and still doesn't print the graphics.
