Clip Art (XP with SP2)

I do not seem to be able to get any clipart in any of the Office apps. I can find it on my hard drive, but it is all associated with some program that came with the computer JASC Paintshop Pro(???) Since I did not subscribe to this app, I cannot get at any of the clipart associated with it.

Surely there must be some MS clipart somewhere? Maybe it was not installed on this machine when I got it. If this is the case, any insight on how I can get this back will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, a couple of things come to mind.

First, can you import the clip art from the other program into Word's clip art viewer by scrolling to the file on your hard drive that houses them? Secondly, do you have the discs for Office XP? If so, you should be able to load them from the discs.

Re: Clip Art (XP with SP2)

Deb, I am unable to import the clipart from where the other program maintains it, because, as soon as I try to do this, I get a page that says I have to by the "Professional "edition.

I do have the XP discs, but am unsure as to how to install just the clipart. Any insight on this?

Thanks.

If you restart the Office installer, either using the CD or from Add/Remove programs, you can choose Custom install or Add/Remove features and look to see whether Clip Art is an option that isn't currently installed.

Jscher, I was unable to find anything that resembled Clip Art on the Add/Remove listing, unless it has an alias of some sort. If it was installed, where would I find it?

I have two CDs with the Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 with Business Contact Manager . I have also installed SP2. I am not sure how to find these apps (clip art) on these CDs. Any insight on how to install these from either of these CDs is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm running Office 2000 but see if yours is similar: Go to Control Panel, Add Remove Programs, and click MS Office. Click "change" and that will bring up the office installer. Choose to add/remove features. The clip art for 2000 in listed under "Office Tools". Check to see if that is where is still is with XP - hopefully you'll see that it's there and not checked - then you can check it and add that feature.

- Open "Add or Remove Programs" (appwiz.cpl) and select "Change or Remove Programs" button on the left pane if necessary.
- On the "Currently installed programs" list select (click on) "Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 " and then click "Change" button.
- Microsoft Office 2003 Setup will start. On the first screen, select "Add or remove features". Click Next.
- On the second screen check "Choose advanced customization of applications" checkbox. Click Next.
- On the next screen, navigate to Microsoft Office | Office Shared Features | Clip Organizer | Clip Organizer Collections | Popular Clip Art | Clips (click on + sign left of the item to expand). Click on Clips and from pop-up menu select "Run from My Computer". Click Update.
- Insert your Office Installation CD when prompted. Close Setup Wizard. Close Appwiz.cpl.
