Mixed formatting in a memo field (2000-SR1)

There is no way to have mixed formatting in a memo field, is there? For example, to have a certain phrase in bold, or a the font in a paragraph a different color?

No there isn't, maybe in future version but not yet.

You might try a hyperlink to a word document. I have used this method for my database (Inventory Description of Items)
    threecrow

Don't make excuses. It's what you do, not why you didn't.

As John wrote, mixed formatting is not possible. There are Rich Textbox controls, both from Microsoft and from other providers, but they're a PITA to work with, in my opinion.

That confirms what I thought, too. Thanks, Hans and John.

Formatting Text in a Memo Field
    Q: Michael Masson writes:

I am re-working an existing SQL 7 database to MS Access 2003. The data translation etc is OK if a bit hairy at times. I am using this database as a model for a new system. At yesterday's meeting the senior pathologist announced one of his long held wishes - the ability to format his diagnosis text with bolding, italics, text color change. I can't do this in a normal memo field. Can you use another editor on memo fields?

A: FMS offers an Access add-in with this functionality: Total Access Memo. I have used this add-in in some of my databases, and it works beautifully.
