    Help Oddity (Office XP VBA)

Hi. I have a problem using Word's VBA help. Some topics present with missing icons or buttons and throw a script error. I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen this. I'm attaching a file that shows the area of the help screen that manifests the problem. (It's right under the help topic, and they're obviously supposed ot be links of some sort.) If anyone is familiar with this, can you tell me how to fix it? Thanks!

The help system is layered over IE, so you might check your IE settings (e.g., show images in the Advanced tab of Internet options).

As for the scripts, there have been so many security updates that have interfered with help that there's almost a cottage industry of registry workarounds. You might try Googling key terms against site:support.microsoft.com and see if any sound like they match.

    Hi Mike,

This suggests you haven't been keeping your system fully patched. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822989/en-us
