space aliens ate my menu bar

    Well, kind of...

For some reason my main Outlook menu bar is gone... (the one with File / Edit / etc). If I try to "customize" my menus it still appears as checked (actually you can not uncheck it, as far as I can tell) but it's not there...
How do I solve this short of reinstalling the whole thing ? I remember reading something about a similar problem in Word but the solution does not seem to apply in this case.

It is possible to move the menus by dragging the left hand side - any chance you moved it and it's hiding behind your taskbar (or a flying saucer?)
Solution may be just to create a new menu and add the items you want - standard commands are: File, Edit, View, Favourites, Tools, Actions, Help.

You should have an outcmd.dat file somewhere. Try searching all local hard drives in the Windows find dialog.
