export to Excel font question (2003 SP1)

If I export a table or query results from Access to Excel, when I open the resulting .xls file the cells are formatted with the MS Sans Serif font and I don't understand how this happens.
My default font for datasheets in Access is Arial and my standard font in Excel is Arial, so where is MS Sans Serif coming from? Is this something built in to the export function?
    Thanks for any help.

It depends on how you export. The File | Export dialog has a "Save Formatting" check box that becomes enabled when you select Excel 97-2003 as file type. If you leave this check box clear, the exported worksheet will be in MS Sans Serif, but if you tick the check box, the exported spreadsheet will use the font from Access.

Thank you, Hans. So, apparently MS Sans Serif is built in to the export function.
I should have spent a bit more time doing research then I wouldn't have needed to take your time.
    Thanks, again.
