changed standard default (xp)

I have somehow changed the standard default new mail message form. When I start a new message, it is not just the blank form.
Can I change it back to the default?

Have you set some stationery as default? You can check this in Tools | Options..., Mail Format tab. If the "Use this stationery by default" dropdown shows something different from <None>, you can set it back to <None> to get the default blank background.
