    MS Photo Editor (2003)

Ms Photo Editor, that was part of office 2000 gets removed from the PC when office 2003 is installed. I find this quite irritating as I use this appl. often for posting jpegs on the boards here. I know that I can get hold of the Office 2000 suite CD and re-install this appl...but is there a small download of this program on the internet that I can store on my flash drive so if I sit at a PC with office 2003, I can simply install it quickly without having to search for a office 2000 CD to add it to the PC?

I searched the web and came up with nothing, but that does not mean that it is not available. Any one know if this is possible?
    Tx
    Regards,
    Rudi

Refer to <post:=465,750>post 465,750</post:> from a Lounger called <!profile=Rudi>Rudi<!/profile>. The various links from that post, especially hand will identify the resources you require.

I know I can get it from the CD....i was wondering if there was a download of MS Photo Editor on the web that I can resource when I needed that. I have searched but come up empty handed....but it is worth a try to ask if anyone else has spotted something on the expanded world wide web.... <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

MS Photo Editor is not available for download, at least not legally. Do you really need it? MS Paint is reasonably capable in Windows 2000 and XP (much more than in older versions of Windows), and if you need more advanced features, you can put the setup file for IrfanView on your USB stick - it's free, and it's less than 1 MB.

    It was just an enquiry....tx.
I have had a look at IrfanView some months back, and it seemed to be a very good freeware package. I may just use this again seeing that it is recommended. I just sometimes fall into a rut and because i am used to the interface of Photo Editor...it takes a lot to break away!

Tx for the advice Jezza and Hans!

Didn't you install the MS Picture Manager as part of Office 2003? You can do some of the same things as with the old Photo Editor.

Strangely, I still like the old MS Photo Editor! I am one of those die hards when I find something I like....I don't let go very easily unless I am thoroughly convinced!
