    Dates (Word 2002)

In word 2002 I have a letter that is produced daily to my clients for that day. I need to have it print the following; Todays Date (Tuesday, May 16, 2006) Last Service Date (7 days ago Tuesday, May 9, 2006) Next Service Date (7 days into the future Tuesday, May 23, 2006). I found the post from macropod on here and I am sure that one of his formulas will work, but I do not know which one(s) to use nor do I know how to adapt them to my need. Could someone please help me with this one? Thanks, Keith

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

In macropod's document (attached to <post:=249,902>post 249,902</post:>), look up Calculate a day, date, month and year, using n (301) days delay.
Select the field below the heading and press Shift+F9 to see the field codes.
Change 301 to -7 for a date 7 days back.
Select the entire field and press F9 to hide the field codes and update the result.
You can now copy and paste the field to your document.

Repeat the above steps, but now change 301 to 7 for a date 7 days from now.

    Re: Dates (Word 2002)

I tried that and it works for going forward 7 days, but when I put the -7 in it gives me a date of Tuesday, September 6, 2006. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Keith

As macropod notes in the introduction to his document, the field codes are set up for systems that use d/m/y format.

For m/d/y format, you must change the field codes:
    - Press Alt+F9 to display field codes.
    - Change dd*10^6+mm*10^4+yy to mm*10^6+dd*10^4+yy
    - Press Alt+F9 to hide field codes.
    - Select the fields and press F9 to update them.
