    Date and Time (Word XP)

    Inserting the following into document {DATE @ "MMM-DD-YY, HH:MM"}. I expect it show the date and time such as May-16-06, 10:05. When I run it the first timeI do get the correct date and time. However when I try to update the field by using F9, I continue to get 05 in the minutes section. It doesn't update to the current minutes. Shouldn't each time I use F9 the minutes update?

    Thanks.

    M is the symbol for month, so MM results in 05 (May is the 5th month of the year). Use lower case m (or n) for minutes:

    {DATE @ "MMM-DD-YY, HH:mm"}

    Also, HH will result in hours in a 24 hour clock, hh in hours in a 12 hour clock.
