    Report - 'Fit' vs 100% (WIN XP/Access 2003)

    We just converted from A97 to A2003 and it actually went pretty smooth (so far).

    All of my reports when run in A97 opened at 100% - very easy to see on the screen.

    These same reports are all opening in "Fit" in Access 2003 - can barely see them !

    Is there a default setting in Access 2003 that I can set to have all reports open at 100% ?

    There are 100s of reports and I would hate to have to go and code each report individually.

    (I could have sworn I have seen this question asked before, but I cannot find the answer)

    Thank you very much for your help.

    I don't think there is a setting to make reports open at 100%. I would live with it - a single click toggles between Fit and 100%, and putting code in all reports is a lot of work.

    I can't imagine why 100% would be the default in Access 97 but "Fit" is the default in Access 2003.

    Those Microsoft people never make sense to me.... <img src=/S/confused3.gif border=0 alt=confused3 width=45 height=45>

    Thanks anyways !

    Thanks, that's useful!

    (I assume that you meant

    strreportname <big>=</big> CurrentProject.AllReports.Item(n).Name

    instead of

    strreportname CurrentProject.AllReports.Item(n).Name)

    Yes I was just about to fix that!

    I had just made a copy of a db and tried out the code and found the mistake.

    Re: Report - 'Fit' vs 100% (WIN XP/Access 2003)

    In 2003 each report has an "autoresize" property. If that is set to True, report opens at "fit", if is set to False, the report opens to 100%.

    I routinely change this to False, for every new report.

    Here is some aircode that would open each report in design view, and set its autoresize property to false.

    Public Function fnreportsAutoresizeFalse()

    Dim n As Integer
    Dim strreportname As String
    For n = CurrentProject.AllReports.Count - 1 To 0 Step -1
    strreportname =CurrentProject.AllReports.Item(n).Name
    DoCmd.OpenReport (strreportname), acViewDesign
    Reports(strreportname).AutoResize = False
    DoCmd.Close acReport, strreportname, acSaveYes
    Next n

    End Function
    edited by john to insert the mising =, as pointed out by Hans in the next post.
    Regards
    John
