    Word Calculated Dates (XP)

Fiscal Year 06/07, Month: 11, Week: 3 is taken from Macropod article on Manipulating Date and Time. I coped the code and pasted it here, but it returned the actual result rather than the code.

Any I am using the above to try to learn more about the QUOTE function. What I believe is happening is that the QUOTE function allows one to tie some text to the Date field.

Trying to create a very simple CreateDate field with the words

You only tell us that it doesn't work, but not what the result is - an error text (if so, what does it say), or a result different from what you intended, or nothing at all.
Are you absolutely sure that you used Ctrl+F9 to insert both the inner and the outer pair of field brackets?
In your field code, you use YYY for the year; that is not valid - you should use either YY or YYYY. Later in your post, you use YYYY which is correct.

Guess I better put my glasses on and proof read more carefully <img src=/S/bash.gif border=0 alt=bash width=35 height=39> Anyway I did use YYYY when I developed the code and yes I used CTRL+F9. When I run the code nothing shows.

    Thanks for your time.

Could you attach a document with only your attempt at the field in it?

The only thing you need to do is select the field and press F9 to update it <img src=/S/blackteeth.gif border=0 alt=blackteeth width=20 height=20>
