    Generating multiple e-mails (2003)

I suspect this question has been asked and answered before, but I have not located the answer. Is there a utility that I can use to send a common message to multiple recipients using Outlook 2003 that would generate multiple e-mails, each having one e-mail address in the To: field ? Spam filters have made the practice of using a distribution list in the BCC: field an unreliable practice.

    Going into the spamming business, eh? <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

Microsoft Word has a mail merge feature, with merge to e-mail as one of the options. You can initiate it from Outlook by opening a Contacts folder and selecting Tools | Mail Merge...
See Microsoft Office Assistance: About using contacts for a mail merge

There are also third-party tools, see Mail Tools for Microsoft Outlook.

Oh, I forgot to mention: if you're sending from home, send the mails in small batches. If you try to send lots of e-mails in a short span of time, your own security software, or else that of your ISP, may well decide that your PC has been hijacked or that you're trying to send spam, and block sending.

A great and useful response. Thanks
    I've frequently used mail merge though never for e-mail <img src=/S/stupidme.gif border=0 alt=stupidme width=30 height=30> .

You might also check out what a "ENewsletter" type of software may do for you.
Here is one I found eNewsletter Manager v2
There are many others if you do a Google search on "enewsletter"

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Dave
    That's a good suggestion.
An entire class of offerings I was not aware of that would certainly handle my needs (and a whole lot more).
    Thanks,
    Paul
