Checking All Day Event Changes Reminder (2003 SP-2)

In creating a new appointment, whenever I check the box for "All day event," the reminder is automatically reset to 18 hours.

Is this a known bug? Is there a patch? Thanks.

    It's not a bug, it's a feature! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Outlook is primarily intended for use in the office. It wouldn't make much sense to be reminded of an all-day event 15 minutes before midnight. But admittedly, 18 hours is an odd choice. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the default. You can still change the reminder to whatever you prefer, of course.

    Hi Hans,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, I should have been more specific:

even if I change the reminder (to, say, 2 days) before specifying all-day event, checking the all-day event box changes the reminder to 18 hours.

I guess this is just one of those minor annoyances.
