    Time Values (Access 2000)

I am constructing a database that will include fields for 'hours worked' that I will want to total. How can I format these so that a total of 32 hours (for example) is recognised and so that I can enter 1:50. Or do I need 2 seperate fields for hours and mins.
    Thanks

    Re: Time Values (Access 2000)

Unlike Excel, Access does not have a format for cumulative hours. You can still use a field of type Date, with Short Time as format. For the total time, use a text box with control source

    =24*Sum([TimeField])

where TimeField is the name of the time field. The text box will display the total time in decimal hours, e.g. 32:30 would be displayed as 32.5.
