How to clear Outlook Express (Outlook Exxpress 6)

I screwed up, and tried to send an envelope icon instead of a link to a friend. I fnally realized what I did wrong, and sent the link, and the friend got the email.
BUT, Outlook Express has an error notice on my screen now that just wont go away, no matter what I have tried, like deleting the file that was involved, writing to Microsoft, sending an error notice, all to no
avail. They do not respond to questions (after a month of trying).
Short of uninstalling the whole bloody program and reinstalling it from the disk, does anyone know how to clear the error message - Luckily, my ISP webmail is working, but Outlook will only tell me that it
has numerous messages that have not been sent - wrong.... Hope this isn't too garbled up for comprehension.

You haven't told us what error notice Outlook Express displays.

Click on the other tab that says "errors" and lets see what that says.

Sorry about the delay - I thought I had uploaded the screenshot before, and only found out it didn't go when I checked for an answer today. Sorry about that - I hope it's here now - It shows that it is.

    rabee,
The error "bare LF" refers to an ASCII Line feed character being sent WITHOUT a preceeding CR, ( line feed ) character.
This is an ISP problem rather than an OE problem. Call your ISP and mention this to them. You MAY have to try a few Tech Reps before you get one who is aware of or knows what this means.

You can get more info on this at: BARE LF

    Another thought came to me.
In OE, click tools>Accounts>Mail>properties>Servers. Check the box "My server requires authentication"
    Give that a try.

Re: How to clear Outlook Express (Outlook Exxpress 6)

    Thanks guys -
Both things you suggested was passed on to a second level tach at my ISP, and about an hour later, trying this and that, plis cancelling my account and reinstalling it, we were finally able to
do what needed to be done. I really appreciate your input, and depth of knowledge. It makes you wonder why no one at Microsoft answers questions like these, doesn't it?
I wrote them first, and am still waiting for some kind of response..........making me appreciate you guys even more.
