Make contacts and not global the default (Word 2000)

    Hi All

I am using Office 2000 at work and in Word I have put the "Insert Address" button on my standard toolbar, which is great, but the default to "Show Names from the:" is "Global Address List". Is there a way to make the default "Contacts"? In Outlook I already have it set in "Show this address list first" as Contacts.

I can't recall whether the menu bar is available when you call up the Insert>Address dialog, so....

In Outlook, call up the Address Book dialog using Tools > Address Book

On the menu bar in the Address Book dialog, choose Tools > Options...

In that dialog you can set the order for the address books, and this should then be implemented in Word's dialog.

    Does it work?

Thanks for the response. I have already tried that option. Everything is set in Outlook to go to or look at Contacts, but in Word it still brings up the Global address book.
