I am trying to set up a guide for various countries for volunteers. One thing I would like to have is a ready reconer for currency exchange. I have a table for each country and will have the conversion factor there. I would then like to end up with a sub form that has:
amount From Local Currency To Local Currency eg
10 1.234 3.212
100 12.34 32.12
Can do this really easily in Excel but am suped in Access and appreciate any help

I am not completely clear what you want, but i have had a go at something. See the attachment.

In frmconversion, select a country and intially it shows you what $10 Aust is worth in that country, and what 10 local is worth in Aust dollars.

You can change either of the amounts on the left and it shows the corresonding conversion.

My use of the rates might be the reverse of yours, in which case everything is back to front.

More impressive than I wanted actually - well done.
I can do the calculations OK with a query but it is the presentation of the results that I am having trouble with. I envisage an Excel like Table with 3 columns and maybe 20 rows.
The columns would be Amount, Local Currency and Foreign Currency.
The rows would be preselected amounts (I dont expect this to cover all conversions (which yours does admirably) but be more of a simple ready reckoner until the user gets used to the local currency. Thus it would have a row for 1, a row for 10, 20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100,150,500,1000,10000 and 100000. You would look along the 10 row for example and see that 10 Local currency is .2345 A$. the same row would show that 10A$ is 67.89 local currency (ignore the accuracy of the numbers, its just an example

Ok that is clearer.

This attachment has another table with your sample values, and a continuous subform based on that table. it has also two calculated controls that use the amount and the relevant rate .
