    Date Calculations (Access 2003)

    I have an employees table...I need to find the next evaluation period for each employee in this table. The dates should reflex the actual date in which the employee was hired. For example: employee was hired on 2/6/2006 next evaluation will be 8/6/2006 then yearly evaluation will be 2/6/2007.

    I a query of the table, you can create a column with a date calculation for next evaluation.
    Use the DateAdd function to find the date for the next eval. You can use this function to
    add 6 months, 1 year, or even 365 days.

    Hope this helps.

    If you mean that you want the next evaluation from today, you can calculate it in a query. Say that you have a date/time field named HireDate. Add a column to the query grid like this:

    NextEvaluation: IIf(DateSerial(Year(Date()), Month([HireDate]), Day([HireDate]))<=Date(), DateSerial(Year(Date()), Month([HireDate])+6, Day([HireDate])), DateSerial(Year(Date()), Month([HireDate]), Day([HireDate])))
