    Extend Range name (Excel XP)

    <img src=/S/boxedin.gif border=0 alt=boxedin width=25 height=20> I have a range named Data that goes from A5 to D5. I have new data in E5. I want to extend the range Data to include the new data in E5. Other than deleting the range Data and redefining it, I don

    You can select:
    A55
    Insert - name - define
    Type in "Names of workbook"
    Data
    [OK]

    And it will be renamed.

    Another option if you want the name to be dynamic, so it changes whenever you add new items in row 5 (no blanks within the range) is to:
    insert - name - define
    Names of workbook:
    Data
    Refers to:
    =OFFSET($A$5,0,0,1,COUNTA($5:$5))
    [ok]
