Does this simple procedure help?

1. Close all Internet Explorer windows.
2. Select Start | Control Panel.
3. Double click the Internet Options icon.
4. Activate the Programs tab.
5. Click the "Reset Web Settings" button.
6. Select the "Also reset my home page" box and confirm.
7. Click OK.

Also, install some decent security applications NOW! Many anti virus and anti spyware apps will protect you against home page hijackers. Microsoft's Windows Defender is free and quite good.

Windows defender did the trick, thanks Hans

P.s. I had a similar problem before but was not able to remove the virus with windows defender, that is why i did not try it earlier.

Windows Defender is an anti-spyware program not an antivirus program and thus would not remove a virus. Download the AVG Antivirus program and install, update the definitions and then scan your system. Then keep it updated either automatically or do it manually at least once a week.

You also might want to add Adaware and Spybot S&D to your list of spyware defenders. both are and will keep much of the junk out there off your system and remove alot of what does get onboard. There are links to tutorials for both these products here HTH

I do have an Anti Virus and it is up to date but failed to pick bo0.net. I have also installed AdAware SE Personal but that failed too.

Thanks

I'm curious how you've determined that bo0.net is a virus. I've searched Symantic's virus encyclopedia and done a Google search. Symantec returned no matches and the only item Google turned up was http://www.bo0.net/.
